Rollet was a short project under the Master’s course Tangible interaction at Malmö University.Physical money is being replaced by card- and mobile payments. Use of cash is seldom these days and its disappearance makes it more difficult to keep track of our balance and momentarily spendings. So we asked the following question:
How might we make people aware of their balance
through a tangible experience? The final result of our short research project is Rollet.
Rollet is a personal device that makes electronic money tangible. It is a different kind of wallet, that helps users keep track of their spendings in a discrete manner. Its tangible qualities allow users to squeeze, roll and shake the Rollet, revealing the owners spendings or balance. |
